October Autumn Photography Adventure

Weekend recap time! 🍂📸

I recently set off on a full-on Autumn photo weekend, armed with a car packed full of camera gear and an endless supply of dog treats for my main man, Dougal. 🐶🍿

First stop? The Hermitage near Dunkeld! I’ve seen endless photos and videos of the mind-blowing Autumn colors there and couldn’t wait to shoot… but fate had other plans. 😅 As soon as I pulled up, a National Trust warden broke the news: both car parks were completely packed! 🚗⚡️ With massive queues behind me and the day slipping away, it was time for a pivot.

Enter Plan B: heading toward Crieff! 🧭 Just down the road, I stumbled upon a spot near the "Falls of the Braan." Honestly, what a blessing in disguise! It was super quiet, letting me take my sweet time exploring while Dougal had the absolute time of his life diving through piles of fallen leaves. 🍂🐾

I left feeling like I missed the shots I initially wanted, but once I uploaded them at home? Total surprise! I actually snagged some gorgeous, moody shots of that crisp Autumn light filtering through the canopy. ✨🌲

Round 2: Sunday Funday! ☕️🥐

We kicked off Sunday with a fuel stop at Bramble Cafe in Glasgow's Southside. Not only was the human food incredible, but their doggy brunch menu was top-tier—Dougal was living his absolute best life. 🐶🍳

Fully energized, we took a photo walk through Queen’s Park. The weather delivered with another crisp, clear morning with insane light! The colors popped off the trees, creating vivid reflections on the water. Plus, there were flocks of birds soaring and swooping over the pond, giving me the perfect chance to add some motion to my shots. 🦅✨

All in all? An absolute gem of a weekend during my favorite season. Dougal approved, I got the shots, and now I’m just waiting for the next adventure! 🍂🥾
